Bender Companies, a vertically integrated multifamily investment firm, in partnership with Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners (“WDIP”), a Denver-based real estate investment manager, is pleased to announce its acquisition of 1900 W. Lawrence, a 59-unit mixed-use community located in the heart of Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood.
Redeveloped in 2021, the four-story property features spacious, modern apartment homes and more than 19,000 square feet of fully leased retail space. The community offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans averaging more than 1,200 square feet with high ceilings, abundant natural light, modern finishes, and select loft-style layouts. Homes feature open kitchens with stainless steel appliances, in-unit laundry, spacious living areas, generous storage, and bathrooms with walk-in showers or full-size tubs.
Amenities include a rooftop deck with outdoor seating and grills, resident gathering and work-from-home spaces, a recreational lounge with billiards, secure package delivery, controlled building access, on-site parking, and bike storage.

The property is located at the intersection of Lawrence Avenue and Wolcott Avenue within walking distance of grocery, fitness, dining, and a variety of national retail tenants. It also offers convenient access to major transit options, including the Ravenswood Metra Station and the Damen Brown Line, providing direct connectivity to downtown Chicago and surrounding employment centers.
Bender Companies plans to complete select exterior and interior building improvements including modernized access systems, a new fitness space, and smart-home features within the units.
This marks Bender Companies’ fifth acquisition of 2025.
