Bender Companies, a vertically integrated multifamily investment firm, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Carriage Creek Apartments, a 226-unit multifamily community located in Richton Park, Illinois. Bender Companies’ acquisition is in partnership with Equity Resource Investments, LLC, a real estate firm that creates diversified portfolios of lower middle market assets across sectors.

Built in the early 1970s, Carriage Creek Apartments offers a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartment homes. The community features floor plans averaging more than 840 square feet, with private patios or balconies, air conditioning, and ample storage. The property includes both mid-rise and garden-style buildings.

Community amenities include a resident community room, shared laundry facilities, picnic area, and elevators in select buildings.

The property is located at 22501 Butterfield Road, within walking distance of the Richton Park Metra Station, offering convenient commuter rail access to downtown Chicago. The community also benefits from close proximity to Interstate 57, Route 30, and Route 50, as well as nearby retail, grocery stores, parks, and schools.

Bender Companies plans to complete building system upgrades, common area improvements, unit renovations, and exterior enhancements such as roofing replacements and parking lot and balcony repairs.

This acquisition marks Bender Companies’ first acquisition of 2026 and brings the firm’s total number of units owned to over 5,800 units.
